Progress Together collaborated on this significant report, alongside other leading diversity initiatives.
The report provides key insights into career progression. Recommendations include:
- Creating a clear and structured promotion process and succession planning approach.
- Analyzing data on tenure and progression for underrepresented groups to identify potential barriers.
- Setting targets for representation in succession planning, shortlisting, and promotion outcomes.
- Using quantitative and qualitative data to address disproportionality in promotions.
- Reviewing progression criteria to ensure they don’t exclude certain groups or personality types.
- Highlighting authentic role models from underrepresented groups to inspire employees.
